Thank you English River Inn

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend :)
I made this card for Lois and Bruce, the owners of the motel. They let me use their Internet when we are at the cottage. So I made them this Thank you card.
I also took a cute picture of the two of them, but I had to promise not to put it on the net.

I used this cute C.C. Designs image. With a separate stamp of the brick wall.
I finally used my cloud punch. I forgot my distress inks at home, so I just edged the clouds with the chisel edge of my Copic marker.

I coloured both the cute girl and the brick wall with my Copic markers.
I fussy cut out both images, adhered the wall flat to the card, then popped up the girl with foam tape.
I also popped up the clouds with foam tape.

The inside of the card.
I stamped this sweet birdie on the recipe/index card.

Onto My Day:
Wayne and I spent the day outside.
It was a beautiful day today. We put away the outside lawn furniture and packed up the trampoline.
Cut the lawn.
Then we went to Canadian Tire...hubby's favourite store :)
We also took a nice drive around town.
Drove to Hillcrest park and enjoyed the view of the Sleeping Giant.

Stopped by the Marina to check out how many boats were still out, and checked out another view of the Sleeping Giant :)

We checked out the water park, also at the Marina. As nice as today was, I see it wasn't nice enough for the little ones to go swimming, teehee.
Then later after all the work was done, Wayne and I went out for supper :)

I hope you had a creative enjoyable Sunday :)

Closed for the Season

Well today was our last day at the cottage for the season :(
We turned off the water and winterized the cottage.
Hard to believe that summer is over.
Especially when we had weather like we did. It was beautiful today.
But hunting season starts next Saturday, and hubby goes hunting with his dad every weekend from now until its over.

The birds were quite happy with us.
When we cleaned out the fridge/freezer, we threw the bread and buns out to them.
This is a whiskey jack, can't tell from my terrible photo though.
We also had blue jays come and nab the bread.

But the chickadees and nuthatches loved the seeds.
I'll tell you these birds don't sit long enough to get their photos taken.

Last night we had a beautiful full moon.
There were rings around it, but then again my camera didn't pick them up.
The moon lit up the sky.

Onto My Day:
Most of the day consisted of cleaning the cottage and packing and putting away the boat, kayaks and outdoor items.
Wayne hooked up his snowplow to the truck as we aren't sure when we will be coming back up.
On the way home the truck overheated. We had to pull over on the side of the highway. Thought we might have to go back to camp and drop it off until the weather got cooler to drive with the plow on.
But Wayne just turned off the A/C and it was fine. But then again, who drives with a snowplow on their vehicle in September, lol.

Wayne was going to take me out for supper tonight, but he got a major nose bleed, and it took a while to stop. So hopefully we will go tomorrow.
He has been fine for the rest of the evening.

The girls were all excited for me to play a video game called Slender. I knew it was going to be scary, if they were that eager to watch me play it.
I had to collect notes and not stop as someone is following you. Well they never told me he was following me, just not to stop.
Well when I turned around and saw this white faces figure, I screamed... just like a silly girl in the horror movies....yup they laughed and fully enjoyed it.

I hope you all had a creative Saturday :)

Tarnished Beauty

On our way to camp we drive down the Trans Canada Highway.
It is a beautiful drive.
The highway is surrounded by forests.
We drive past many beautiful lakes and rivers.

We see lots of different animals along our travels.
It isn't surprising to see deer, moose and even a bear or two on our journeys back and forth.
It is a stunning country I live in.

Sadly there is also litter, not a lot, but still it tarnishes the land and makes me sad.
But what makes me angry is seeing the bottles filled with urine that litter the sides of the highway.
You may wonder bottles of urine?!?
Yes sadly the transport truck drivers can't take the few minutes to pull over and piss on the side of the highway. They pee in empty bottles and then toss them out their windows.
I apologize if if you are one of the respectful drivers that pull over, if you are then I thank you for being respectful of our beautiful country.
If you are one of the piss tossers, please pull over. I would rather see your tallywacker then your urine filled bottles.

Onto My Day:
Wayne and I enjoyed out lunch around the campfire.
Last one of the year.
We are closing up and everything (so far) is going smoothly :)

Is this a moth or a butterfly.
I am sure it is a moth, but it sure is pretty.

I hope you all had a creative Friday :)
I did, I made a thank you card today, and a card for a friend last night. :)

I love my Red Washer and Dryer

Ohh the beauty of Red.
I received my new washer and dryer, I am so happy.
The only problem is, the pedestal for the dryer didn't come in.
But that hasn't stopped me from doing about 8 loads of laundry.
I love it, this thing can do such huge loads.
I am having so much fun I ran out of laundry to do, lol.
Is that sad or what?!?
Now just to fold and put away....that I don't like to much.
Mind you I love to fold towels, I think that is from working in the hospitals laundry as a teen.

Onto My Day:
Hubby and I are heading to the cottage to close it up totally for the season.
It is suppose to be a beautiful weekend, so hopefully we don't have to do it in the rain, like every other year.
As sad as it is going to be, I am kind of looking forward to hibernating for the winter and snuggling in.

Hope you had a creative Thursday :)
I wasn't creative, but I sure did enjoy doing laundry today...I wonder how long it will last, lol.
Well, its better then hanging the laundry on the line all summer ;)

Last Project for Redonkulous Designs

It is with a heavy heart that I have to say good-bye to my Design Team position at Redonkulous Designs.
My term is up...I can't believe it has been 6 months, wow, time really does fly.
So without further ado, here is my card.
I used the papers from Authentique "Loyal".

For the image I used "Baby Girl Hugs"
Isn't she so cute :)   I have coloured her up before, using my Stampin' Up markers, this time I used my Copics.
I paper pieced her dress.  Yes she is a digital image, and yes you can still paper piece your digital images :)

And lastly, the inside of my card.

Now with this being the last of my Redonkulous Design Team cards I thought I would go down the creative memory lane and show all the cards I have done.

Wow, there have been quite a few and I had fun making every one of them.
Now go and check out all the girls from the design team and leave them some love :)
Kim
Sharon
Kate
Deb
Shell
Stacey
And the designer of all these fabulous images Sheryl.http://redonkulousdesigns.blogspot.ca/

Thank you so much.

Hope you all have a creative Wednesday :)

Anytime is Chocolate time

How old does chocolate have to be in order for it to be too old?
For me chocolate never goes bad ;)
Kristy found this box of Toffifee from last Christmas. One layer wasn't even open.
She said it was probably bad, and offered it to me before she was going to toss it.
Toss it!!!!!
Hand it over girl, lol.

Today was a pretty lame day.
I have been taking Benadryl to help with my rash. Well, I don't have a tolerance to anything, so I was kind of drowsy most of the day and even fell asleep.
So I ordered pizza for supper.
Then started making my card for my Redonkulous Design team....lets hope it turns out okay.
A drug induced card, this may be interesting, lol.

I hope you all had a creative Tuesday :)

Simple yet not.

I'm still pimpin' out my cards from my girls creative get away ;)
I only have one card left after this one.
Another simple card to share. By simple, I mean not very many embellishments and an easy layout.

The image...well that's another story.
It was not a quick a quick one to colour.
Mind you for me, none of them are quick to colour, lol.
This stamp I borrowed is from my friend Debbie, so I don't know the name or brand of it.
This image was a very detailed one, but oh so cute.

Inside of this card.

Onto My Day:
I had to pick Kristy up from school this afternoon as she wasn't feeling good. She has a pretty bad cold, so she has been resting for most of the day.
Besides cooking supper.
She wanted pancakes and she didn't think I was cooking them as good as she does....so I gave her the job.
It was pretty funny actually.

I hope you all had a creative Monday :)

Its Good To Be Home

Wayne and I came home from camp to the smell of freshly baked cookies :)
Kristy baked a double batch of her famous chocolate chip cookies. Yummy.

So today we put away all the lawn furniture, the solar lights and filled the inside fire wood box.
Boy it was cold out again today...no snow though.
Just as we were pulling out of the driveway the sun came out, isn't that the way.

I even finished up my camp journals :)
I still have 2012 to do, but I was planning on doing that over the winter.
I wanted to dance and sing when I adhered the last photo to the page.

I noticed I have a major rash on my back, shoulders and upper arms. I have no idea where it came from. I haven't eaten anything different or used anything else new like creams or soap. So I have no idea where I got it from.
Hoping after I take a shower it will go away. Weird.

Hope you all had a creative Sunday :)

One year to go...well 2.

I will be so happy when my camp journals are complete.
I am on my third journal.
I am putting 3 years in each journal
Started with year 2004-2012
I am working on 2006 right now...I didn't go in order, lol
I haven't started on 2012, I will work on that during the winter.
Here are the tools.
-My adhesive gun to adhere the photos.
-My old journal, with all the information.
-My cutter/trimmer to cut the 4up photos apart (4 up photos are 4 photos on a reg 4x6 photo)
-My cheaters....yes I need them.
-White out tape...yes I do make mistakes.
-Pen
-Photos
- New journal
-post it notes

I think I did pretty good, I had only printed out 100 photos and that is for the whole year of 2006.
But as I go through it, I wish I should have printed out more, but I didn't bring up my photo printer just for that reason.
I want to get this done this weekend.

I will tell you, I sure have seen a lot of people pulled over lately.
But I think this is the first time I have seen a cop pull over a city bus.
There must have been a unruly passenger on the bus, as when the bus left, the police were still there and a guy was with them.

Then on our drive out to camp, there were 2 police cars that pulled over this vehicle.
Then one of the police cars pulled a u-turn and followed us.
I kept teasing Wayne that they were going to pull him over.

But the officer passed us and pulled over the white truck ahead of us.
The truck wasn't speeding, but there was black smoke coming out of his exhaust, so that was probably why.
Yes that is as much excitement as we get around here.....more than enough for me, lol.
 Onto My Day:
I went to bed at 10:30 last night, which is really early for me, as I am a night hawk.
I woke up at 7:15 am. But that is too early, no matter if I am wide awake or not, lol.
So after my bathroom break, I went right back to sleep until 9:30 to the smell of my hubby cooking me bacon and eggs for breakfast.
I have been working on my journal most of the day, while Wayne has been closing up camp.
He has put up the storm windows and so much more.

It has rained and snowed here today...yup SNOW!!!
It hasn't stayed on the ground, but still.
Wayne told me it has snowed at his work a few times already.
It is a cold one today.

I had better get going as it looks like it is going to rain or snow again, and I am at the motel, using their Internet. I have to quad back to the cottage....brrrrr.
There was a guy here, that is on a bike (as in bicycle) who has biked all the way from Alaska.
He is heading to Ottawa. He said he hasn't stayed in a motel yet, he has been camping at the side of the road in the bush. Now that is roughing it.
Good luck to him, I hope he has a safe travel.

Hope you have all had a creative Saturday :)

Closing up the Cottage..slowly.

Wayne and I are off to the cottage :)
Sadly we are closing it up for the season :(

Every year its the same thing. We say we are closing up camp, then we change our minds and come back the next weekend, lol.
So this year I said we are just going to embrace it and come back anyway.
So we have decided to close up, but not take out the water until next weekend :)

I better run and pack up as I we are leaving and I haven't even started yet.

Hope you all had a creative Friday :)

Zucchini Holders and a video

Thank you for all your nice comments congratulating me on my 1000th post yesterday.
I really love my blog and all you who visit me and comment on my blog :)
You all really do put a smile on my face and warmth in my heart :)

Who says that cup holders are just for drinks, lol.
I visited a friend and she had a bumper crop of zucchinis this year.
So she thought she would pawn them off give some to me.
I didn't want them rolling around on the seat so I put them in the cup holders for safety ;)
I'm hoping to finally make that chocolate chip zucchini cake.

When we were on our trip last weekend, I received some happy mail from a friend Claudia.
We had decided to do a mini album kit swap, in a Halloween theme.
She is on YouTube so I made a video for her :)

Onto My Day:
Today I made two videos. It took me most of the afternoon to tape and then edit them.
I haven't posted the second one yet, I will save that for next week ;)

Hope you all have a creative Thursday :)

Today is my 1000th Post :)

Today I am going to share with you another card from my girls creative get away.
Not only that, but this card is going to someone special.....I will share who at the end of this post ;)
The paper that I used was Echo Parks "This & That Graceful", yup I had to run downstairs to check out the name ;)

The image is a Pure Innocence stamp. Isn't she so sweet.
I, of course coloured her up with my lovely Copics :)

The inside of my card, left over papers from the front and my recipe/index card.
I also stamped on the recipe card :)

Now onto some Fun stuff:
Today is my 1000th post...yeah for me.
I don't pay attention to numbers...I get enough of numbers with my work.
So when I posted the other day, I didn't realize before that it tells you how many posts you have done.
Well today is my 1000th post :)
I have been blogging for over 2 yrs 8 months.
Here is my first POST if your curious.

I wanted to say Thank You to my faithful subscribers....who I think of as friends.
If one of you miss commenting on a post, I wonder what you are up to.
If one of you miss a post on your blog, then I hope everything is okay.
So I wanted to do a give away to you. I wish I could give you all a little thank you :(

Now you may wonder, how do you enter this give away......Well... you already have ;)
Like I said I wanted to do this for my faithful followers. So what I did was take the comments that I have received on my last 3 posts, printed them out, cut them out, then got Heather to pick a strip of paper.
And here is who she picked :)
